Castlevania is a fantastically violent vampire animation. This is a US produced animation. I know nothing about the Japanese video game that the series is based on, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Therefore, I don’t care about plot or character deviations. I watch purely for the instant gratification. Then again, I am a sucker for vampire stories.
The first season was only 4 23-minute episodes. Four violent, action-packed episodes. Good storytelling. Fabulous characters. Amazing animation. Intense fight choreography. And an excellent voice actor cast.
The second season of Castlevania is scheduled to drop on Netflix on October 26 and will have 8 episodes. AND it was picked up for a third season.
Make sure the little kids are in bed before watching this show. A perfect series for the Halloween season.
