It starts out with an extremely sad cut scene of Emily, the main character losing her dad from a nasty car accident. Do not let that turn you away though, it is a great book as soon as you finish your going to be begging for the next one. There are 8 books in the series and a 9th one coming out in 2020. So if you only like finished book series buy this is 2020. Some how Emily, Navin(her brother) and her Mom(Karen) find there selves in a different planet through a passage in the wall. The planet is called Alledia it is ruled by Elves and Humans. They are currently at war. I rate it 4.5/5 stars.
