This book starts of with Emily in the Void with the Voice. The Voice is explaining when they enter Cielis he or it will no longer be able to talk/communicate with Emily or any stonekeeper like Vigo and Trellis. Trellis and Luger are taken to Yarboro Prison. It turns out, the guardian Council is NOT humans. Its an animation. They are truly made of stone. Navin meets a girl named Aly. Emily is taken through a series of tests to see if she can be on the Guardian Council. REMEMBER Emily does not know the council is stone. When Emily completes the other test she is given one last test. I rate the book 5/5 with great suspense.
